Savage #1 was built as a one-off for Daniel Aabenhus — singer and guitarist of Ashes of Billy. Stripped back to the essentials, so he can put everything into the performance.

FROM SKETCH TO STAGE.
Every Baum guitar starts the same way: in Aarhus, Denmark.
We sketch by hand, model in 3D, and prototype in our Danish custom shop until every detail is right. The shape, the feel, the balance. Nothing goes into production until it plays the way we want it to.
Savage went through that same process. Designed in Denmark. Refined until it was ready.
Now we take it to production: built to the same spec, at a price that lets everyone make noise on stage.
THE INSPIRATION
WHO ARE ASHES OF BILLY?
They are everything the Savage was made for.
A teenage trio from Roskilde, Denmark — raw, unfiltered grunge, punk, and metal. Influenced by the Seattle scene of the '90s and Danish rock powerhouses like Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and D.A.D., they've already played COPENHELL and next up is Sweden Rock and Metal Cruise.
They break the norm. They play hard. They don't fake it. When we built the first Savage, we built it for Daniel Aabenhus — their singer and guitarist. He needed something stripped back, so he could put everything into the performance.

Every Baum is refined by hand in Denmark by our guitar tech setup team of professional musicians. Our guitar techs inspect, adjust, and play test each guitar to bring out the best of each as they know what it takes to be a performer.
