Description
The Leaper Stage is a dreadnought acoustic guitar made for stage and studio. It delivers a rich, balanced sound that fills the room — warm lows, clear highs, and loud sound.
A solid Sitka spruce top gives lively tone and great response. East Indian rosewood back and sides add deep bass and precise top-end. The forward-shifted X-bracing lets the top breathe for more resonance and volume. Play soft or loud, you'll feel the dynamics.
The mahogany neck has a smooth Modern C-profile that feels fast and comfortable. It’s built for long sessions, live gigs, and everyday playing. The ebony fretboard is sleek, durable, and easy under your fingers.
When it’s time to perform, plug in and play. The Fishman piezo pickup gives a natural, stage-ready sound with no fuss. Use the hidden volume and tone controls for quick, clean adjustments on stage. The acoustic-electric Leaper Stage is ready for any gig.
Designed in Denmark and built in small batches, the Leaper Stage blends craftsmanship, tone, and reliability. It’s the perfect acoustic-electric guitar for live shows, recording, or home sessions — always ready to perform.

Do all Baum instruments receive a premium setup before shipping?
Yes — every instrument is opened, carefully inspected, and meticulously set up in our Aarhus workshop by our team of luthiers and techs to ensure optimal action, intonation, and playability before it arrives on your doorstep
Every Baum goes through several quality control points. The final step happens in our Danish Custom Shop where each instrument is personally inspected and tested by our guitar tech team of professional musicians. We’re very picky and go over every detail and part.
Our process:
Delivery inspection: Each guitar is unpacked, examined, and approved for build quality and finish.
Hardware & electronics: Each instrument gets the Baum Premium Set-up. Read more about that.
Performance test: Finally, our set-up team play and fine-tune the guitar to ensure it meets Baum’s tone and feel standards.
Nothing leaves our hands until it matches our quality for how it plays, sounds, and looks.

THE BEST ACOUSTIC. PROBABLY.
Baum introduces the finest acoustic guitar. And a true workhorse for the touring musician.
Leaper Stage is classic dreadnought made of classy tonewoods like solid East Indian rosewood for the back and sides, American Sitka spruce for the top, Engelmann spruce for the scalloped bracing, and ebony for the fretboard and bridge.
It's styled with wonderful details, and has our comfortable Baum C-neck shape.
Leaper Stage ticks all the boxes for the modern player seeking an intense sound, easy playability, solid tonewood, and details to get lost in.
Designed in Denmark and handcrafted in small batches to ensure the highest quality for each guitar.
The Leaper Stage is rich, loud, and resonant. Make everywhere your stage.
FOR THE PICKY PLAYERS
The Leaper Stage comes in three gorgeous colors, so you can pick the right one for your song.
Available in Deep Honey Burst and Pure Black, Deep Burgundy.
Can’t decide? Don’t worry. No matter how you like the Leaper Stage on the outside, the inside is always identical.
A MUSICALLY RICH TONEWOOD.
Leaper Stage is crafted of solid East Indian rosewood on both the back and sides.
This gives the Leaper Stage a deep and articulate low-end, a blooming midrange, and a rich and crisp top-end.
Classic. Timeless. Solid.
WE THINK INSIDE THE BOX
The Leaper Stage is designed from the inside out, so you can do your greatest work.
Watch the presentation to learn more about how we designed the Leaper Stage to vibrate freely like a speaker, and which delicate materials we have used to give it a beautiful voice.
FORWARDED X-BRACING.
We like thinking forward. Forward shifting the X-bracing makes the Sitka spruce top vibrate more freely like a speaker, with greater responsiveness, and an extended dynamic range.
Leaper Stage simply is louder, fuller, and more responsive to your play.
JUST PLUG AND PLAY
Fishman included.
The Leaper Stage is ready for both studios and stages, as it comes with a Fishman piezo pickup installed.
The piezo is stealthily installed, delivers a crisp and true tone of your guitar, and its undersaddle placement makes it hum and feedback resistant.
Don’t worry about bringing this to the stage. It’s ready.

There’s a bit of a story behind this one. The Baum Revolt is my first brand-new guitar—and the first guitar I’ve ever bought without taking it for a test drive.
I bought my first guitar in the early ’90s: a 1977 Gibson Les Paul Pro with P90s. I still have it, and for good reason. I played it for years, then somehow took a couple of decades off. By the time I came back, someone had invented this thing called the internet, my musical tastes had changed considerably, and the Les Paul wasn’t quite what I wanted to reach for anymore.
Then I bought a 2000 Deluxe Strat, and that’s where my love for Stratocasters began. During COVID, I even built a partscaster using top-notch components, including a set of pickups from Radioshop in the UK. For a first attempt, it turned out pretty well.
Then, one day, I picked up the Les Paul again. Those P90s just screamed at me. There was that sound! The problem was that I’d become so comfortable with Strats that the Les Paul felt awkward by comparison. I loved what I was hearing, but I wasn’t loving how it felt in my hands. I shouldn’t be too harsh—the Pro is a REALLY nice guitar—but we’d clearly grown in different directions.
So I started looking. I spent plenty of time in guitar shops and played plenty of guitars, but nothing really spoke to me. I considered another build, although putting P90s in an S-style guitar felt slightly sinful. I’m a bit traditional that way.
Then Baum appeared in my Instagram feed, and down the rabbit hole I went.
After several difficult internal conversations about buying a guitar I’d never held, I took the plunge. Six months later, exactly as advertised, the Revolt arrived at my door. It looked amazing, felt nice and light, and was still pretty much in tune after it's long journry to Canada.
I gave it a couple of days to acclimatize, then took it downstairs and plugged it in.
There it was: that lovely P90 growl I’d rediscovered in my Les Paul, with plenty of room to explore beyond it. The Revolt doesn’t feel like the Strats I’ve come to know and love, and I’m glad it has its own personality. It’s also much more comfortable for me than the Les Paul. It’s really got its own thing going on, and the more I play it, the more I like it.
It felt a little stiff out of the box, and we’re still getting acquainted, but every time I pick it up, it reveals a little more of what it can do.
I’ve been running it through a Boss Katana, a little Orange solid-state amp, and my favourite, a VOX AC10. I think the Revolt likes the tubes.
As I get more familiar with it and dial in my pedals, I keep finding new tones. There’s a surprising amount of versatility in that simple three-position switch, volume, and tone setup.
Very cool, guys. You’ve made a beautiful, versatile, genuinely fun guitar—and I look forward to beating the hell out of it. :)
The Revolt is a fantastic guitar, the setup was great out of the box. It's a lovely guitar to play and has been my main guitar since it arrived. It was worth the wait and will certainly be my first of many Baum guitars.
I was happy to get the last Conquer 59. Although a B-Stock guitar, I was disappointed with the condition. One pickup didn‘t work, some screws were loose and the guitar was very dirty. After cleaning, repairing and putting new strings on it I am at least very happy with this beautiful guitar. Good guitar, poor service. Sorry !
I have 2 Baum Vega Carves now, they are exceptional guitars! The newest one here has many great improvements to the original; contoured neck heel, amazing paint color stone blue, and you can now remove the pickguard without having to uninstall the neck pickup for maintenance. Plays and feels flawless. Playability with great design.Thank you Baum.
It’s quite simple, I absolutely love my new Baum. The Wingman is a magnificent instrument, astonishing looks, great craftsmanship, and it sounds anm and plays amazingly. The whole ordering process was easy, the service - especially the set up, I’ve never experienced anything like this with a new instrument - is great.
I don’t know any other builder who delivers such quality for a price like this. Quite possibly not my last Baum.
I love my new Baum Revolut, it is beautiful, it has such a nice feeling and sound, I am still in the testing process but I have to say that I cannot stop being close to my Guitar.
It has been worthy waiting 6 months to have it in my hands. I have to congratúlate to all Baum Team. They all do such a great job.
Thanks. I am so happy.
Great service from Baum. I changed the delivery address three times due to moving countries, and Baum handled it perfectly.
I was tempted to get a Les Paul Junior, but since it only has one pickup, I chose the Baum with two P90S. It's my first guitar with P90S, and I am not disappointed.
As for the guitar, the workmanship is great, the electronics are great, and it looks beautiful.
I highly recommend this guitar; it is comparable to, if not better than, guitars I have paid double the price for.
Such a versatile instrument. You can get that classic Jazz sound from it but also, with some tone adjustment, a credible Precision sound too. Plus a whole load of new places to explore. Put some flats on it, hoist the action up a bit and you can really lay into it! Thanks, Baum!
Love this guitar straight out of the box. Out of all my Baums, this one has my favourite neck. The new Vega series is really special! I bought the Verve and the Revolt. Both have arrived in immaculate condition and with stellar setups. These new models are really dialed in!
Great guitar. Super stable tuning. Resonant. Light. Ergonomic. Love the finish of the neck. I wanted to play a whole show before reviewing and she impressed a sold out house.
GREAT QUALITY Gig bag! Very durable and exceeded my expectations! So happy with my Baum Verve purchase. Definitely worth the wait. Good things come to those who wait for sure.
This is my first Baum guitar, and I'm truly thrilled and happy to have purchased it. There are many reasons why I'm so satisfied. I'll try to explain them in this review (I used Google Translate). First: the setup. I have several mid-range guitars (not custom shop guitars, so to speak) and often, after purchasing them, I've been forced to take them to the luthier for adjustments. Typically, the octave adjustments, the string action, and sometimes even a buzzing or dead string in the higher positions of the fretboard. However, the Baum Revolt guitar arrived perfectly set up and ready to play: a beautiful piece of work by the Baum luthiers. Second: the quality of the materials and construction. The Revolt is a remarkable piece of lutherie; the body wood (very light mahogany), the body varnish, the perfection of the neck, the quality of the rosewood on the fretboard, the tuners, the bridge. Everything is of high quality and certainly far superior to the quality of guitars of a similar price. Third aspect: the sound. A guitar, besides being beautiful and well-built, must ultimately sound good, and this Revolt has a truly beautiful sound. The P90 pickups are open, analytical, and extremely sensitive. The range of tones that can be obtained in the three typical operating combinations, together with excellent tone and volume controls, is truly vast. You can go from a muffled sound typical of jazz accompaniment to a sharp but full sound that is giving me great satisfaction. These days I'm playing only this guitar and every day I discover new timbres and new sounds. In conclusion, the Baum Revolt is a splendid guitar (the color of mine in particular drives me crazy) that can give great satisfaction to any guitarist. Great job, Baum! Bravo!
My Vega Carve was well worth the wait - instantly my favourite guitar to play. The quality is astonishing for the price - it feels like a high end guitar from one of the more established brands - and it plays just as well. This is the first time I have ever picked up a guitar and felt that it has made me a better player.
It was so good that within a couple of weeks, I ordered another Baum guitar!
It seemed like a long wait, 6 months after pre ordering this beautiful work of art arrived, and it was more than worth the wait. It feels, looks and sounds amazing!
P90’s are awesome. I use neck pick up mainly, and it is smooth and bluesy, but clear and touch sensitive.
Very happy indeed, thank you Baum
It's a beautifully built and designed guitar. The p90s are particularly good, the set up meant they were well balanced out of the box with three very usable and distinct positions. Plays absolutely great and has a lovely neck, the fretwork is perfect. It's also got a number of little touches - eg: great looking and feeling pots, satisfyingly wide tuning pegs - that add up to something very special. The combination of the 25.5 scale and the light body and also pick ups brings together the best of a couple of different guitar types into one package. It's a joy to have something designed and distinctive that feels classic and original at the same time. Customer service was excellent in the build up. 5 out of 5.
**Absolutely stunning – worth every day of the wait!**
My new and long-awaited BAUM Verve is simply amazing in every detail!
First of all, it looks absolutely stunning – elegant, classy, and beautifully designed. But it’s not just about looks. It plays and sounds fantastic, with a richness of tone and versatility that genuinely exceeded my expectations.
As with all BAUM guitars (and I now proudly own five!), the craftsmanship and build quality are exceptional. Every instrument reflects an extraordinary attention to detail and that extra touch of passion and dedication that makes BAUM guitars so special.
I couldn’t be happier with my new Vega. The long wait was absolutely worth it!
Keep up the fantastic work, BAUM!
Great guitar, a joy to play.Fantastic finish with a wonderfull neck
I have added some weight in the control cut out as it was a
little head heavy for my taste, but all fine tuning.
A great value guitar, Thanyou.
Pretty sure this is the best guitar I'll ever play. It's tippy-top and I'm a happy old man. Will prolly buy another Baum a couple of years down the line. The quality and playability is stunning.
This is my first Baum and first T-Style guitar. It’s also the first guitar I’ve purchased (sight unseen) without playing it first. I absolutely love it! I was completely blown away! Definitely a keeper and the Neck pickup is AMAZING!
This is my first electric guitar! 🎸 I’ve been waiting for this guitar for months, and it was definitely worth the wait! The staff at Baum Guitars have been very responsive and helpful in answering all my inquiries and questions. Thank you for the great service! 🙌
Here it is! After a long wait, I finally got my hands on the Carve. I have to say I had quite high expectations, and I wasn't disappointed.
It looks fantastic, arrived perfectly set up, and plays like a dream. This is my second guitar from Baum, and I suspect it won't be my last. Amazing!
Straight out of the gigbag it was setup Great.
The build quality is amazing.
But...it has one thing... mojo!!
I can't help but to pick it up and play all the time.. it speaks to me.
Great guitar Baum people!
I absolutely love this thing. It came out of the box with a perfect setup (for my preference) the fit and finish is immaculate. It's just an allround great instrument!
I recently added the Baum Conquer 59 in Moon Dust to my collection, and it exceeded every expectation. The neck feels incredibly comfortable, the action is effortless, and the guitar just begs to be played. The semi-hollow body gives it a beautiful resonance, while the pickups deliver everything from sparkling cleans to rich, punchy tones. And then there’s the Moon Dust finish… absolutely stunning. Every detail feels thoughtfully designed, and it’s quickly become one of those guitars I simply can’t walk past without picking up. Another masterpiece from the Baum team
I love this guitar! It looks, feels and sounds amazing. The P90s are so punchy, the action is spot on, lovely slim neck with the satin finish that makes me wanna play it all day, and it’s so light that I probably could! My only criticism is that it is a little head heavy and wouldn’t sit balanced without a textured strap but I can happily live with that.
Guitar arrived very well packaged, the gig bag is great quality and offers a lot of protection.
I ordered this guitar on a whim after seeing it online. The look of it is what struck me. Just what I had been looking for. Not flashy, or too big, just really cool 😎. After I paid for it, I did a little more research and was very impressed by the reviews.
I have been waiting for the guitar to arrive for months while it was being built; During that time I did start to wonder whether it would be worth the money… It really is! Thanks Baum, I’m already looking at you guys for my next guitar 👍
The tone is great. It’s got bite when you push it and stays clear and articulate when you back off. Great for crunchy riffs and cleaner stuff, and it doesn't sound muddy.
New Baum 10th Anniversary Wingman arrived at its destination: Black Forest!
Great guitar for a wide range of different styles. I use it for Progressive Rock in the Band Shards.upon.Nihil and for Punk and Metal in the formation Purify. Its warm tone also fits my Jazz-ambitions.
Nice guitar in a beautiful case set up by a friendly and crafty team.
If it's made for Doom, I will find out soon...
Beautifully constructed and plays incredibly well!! Sounds huge and the first gig with it was awesome!! I’m so happy that I decided to buy this guitar!
The best guitar I've ever played.
Great design. Very well-made. The feel of the strings and the wood are beautifully balanced and feel great. The guitar's sound is also really powerful. It's got real punch and offers great versatility for different genres.
I'm very happy to own this guitar and highly recommend it.
Finally got my hands on the Wingman 10th you sent me and, oh boys ! It’s really worth the wait !
From the finish to the slightest details, from bridge to saddle it came perfectly tuned. The neck is as sweet as silk, and your mics do wonders !
Usually I would never buy a guitar before a try. Given your 45 days policy, I was thinking you were well aware of the quality you’re dealing with, so I gave it a try and..!
GUYS !
I was expecting quality, but this is clearly ways beyond my expectations ! Really ? For that price ?
It could have costed 1K more, it would still be a great deal !
So, if you were counting on me to send it back, then I have bad news for you ! I have a gig in two weeks and I m gonna proudly strum this beauty !
update : I did strum this beauty and it stole the show ! And guys, this is what the delight of playing it looks like !
What a majestic piece of gear!! I had the old conquer model and I loved it, sold to a friend that needed the guitar more than me, but I regretted instantly hahaha. Had to buy the newer version, and I still love this. Good job Baum
Great peace of guitar. Works excellant in pair with Peavey Classic 30. Versatile purpose for most kind of music. You want believe it, I use it to play Country music. It has great single coils, and a sound is just amazing. Thanks for this piece of art
Knew nothing about Baum until I saw a Carve in a video. Ended up falling in love with the Wingman and ordered. From day one the responsiveness of the staff was great, answering my questions and giving support. The ordering/shipping process was straightforward, I live in Ibiza so the shipping part in some cases is not super easy. Got the wingman a few days before the scheduled date. Wasn't sure what to expect but I loved the guitar immediately. The setup was optimal, first time I didn't need to put my hands on a new guitar or send it to a luthier. Looks and feels very solid and high quality. The neck is super smooth and i love the sound. No issues with the Bigsby getting the guitar out of tune. So yeah, super happy about it, to the point I ordered a Carve 10 days later.
