Baum® Launches VEGA™.

(Aarhus, Denmark) September 29, 2022. Baum has announced the release of their new VEGA series. A new line of guitars that focuses on the essentials in the Danish Baum design starting at just €699 ex vat.

The new VEGA series features the Wingman™ and Carve™ designs by Baum. The Wingman is the iconic statement of standing out in the crowd. The Carve is the classic double-cut. Both are so new, yet so familiar. And both designs, previously coming from the Custom Collection crafted in Denmark, are making their way into the manufactured series like The Original Series, and now VEGA too.

New for the VEGA series is the design identity which is centered around simplicity. Not to make them less, but to focus on what gives an instrument the true Baum character without all the cosmetic bells and whistles. VEGA is mega.

 

Simplicity is key. The character is Baum. And the new VEGA models all feature the classic Baum elements, of course:

  • Designed by Baum®
  • Levitator™ Roller-Bridge
  • Goldsound® Essence P90
  • Baum Classic C Neck profile.

THE WINGMAN | VEGA EDITION

 

The Wingman features a bayur body – a locally sourced wood with similar structure and properties as mahogany. And the same sound qualities like tone and sustain as well. The Wingman neck is a modernly profiled C-shaped maple with a 12” pau-ferro fretboard and medium jumbo frets. The look is kept simple with dot inlays and no bindings. The Wingman features the new Wave™ headstock. The instrument’s voice comes from the proprietary pair of Goldsound® Essence P90s and Levitator™ roller-bridge. The VEGA Wingman edition features a stop-tail design.

THE CARVE | VEGA EDITION

 

The Carve features a bayur body – a locally sourced wood with similar structure and properties as mahogany. And the same sound qualities like tone and sustain as well. The Carve neck is a modern profiled C-shaped maple neck with a 12” pau-ferro fretboard and medium jumbo frets. Crown inlays and no bindings The Carve features the classic Teardrop™ headstock. The instrument’s voice comes from the proprietary Goldsound® Essence P90s and Levitator™ roller-bridge. The VEGA edition Carve features a wrap-around bridge designed with compensated intonation.

Availability

 

The VEGA Series will drop in stores in early 2023. Preorders start September 29th, and the VEGA Series is available from Baum Dealers and Baum direct. Reach out to either Baum or our dealers in regards to more info about delivery times.

 

 

Delivery

 

VEGA will be shipped in primo 2023. Baum ships worldwide, and local retailers may have different terms for shipping.

    what is split payment?

    We’ll divide your purchase amount into four/six payments, billed to your current credit card. The split payment is only available on preorders and not instruments in stock.

    How it works

    There are no fees or penalties for paying your balance early, but the earliest delivery will be when the item is in stock.

     

    By proceeding with Baum Guitars’ Split Payments plan, you promise to keep enough credit available on the card you have provided so that future installments can be charged to that card. If the card expires or is canceled, you agree to notify Baum Guitars and supply an alternative card with the necessary funds available before the next payment is due.

    Baum is a small company, and we make guitars in small batches. We value quality over quantity any day, and preorders help us to keep our production as precise as possible.

     

    Each preorder has a huge impact on our small business and is uniquely meaningful. Our players are people who like high quality, a smooth feeling and like to play different, and instrument preorders can help ensure that we deliver that.

    The obvious downside is the wait…Preordered items will have an estimated delivery date in the future. But let’s look at why it’s worth waiting for.

    By preordering, you get to confirm a purchase within our next-coming batch. Because we do small-scale production, our batches are often sold out before they get to Denmark, so this way you will be guaranteed one.

     

    This is why you get an instrument that in many ways is special. First, the entire instrument is designed from our Danish philosophy and based on our years of experience as luthiers. All our designs are our own and are made to bring you fresh inspiration.

     

    Second, we make our own hardware for our instruments. Our Precision Tuners™, Levitator™ Roller bridge, and TrueTone™ tremolo are all designed to fit our instruments perfectly.
    Our Goldsound® pickups are also designed and made to our instruments only.

     

    Lastly, we give all guitars a solid quality control and set-up in Denmark before we ship it. We handle this step in our custom workshop in Aarhus, Denmark to give you the best experience possible.
