They apply whether you are:
- a consumer (buying as a private individual), or
- a business customer
1.2 Placing an order
All products shown on our website are invitations to buy — not binding offers.
When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected products.
After placing your order:
- You will receive an order confirmation email with your order number
- This confirmation means that your order has been accepted
We store your order and send you a copy of these terms by email.
We reserve the right to cancel orders in case of pricing errors or unexpected stock issues.
1.3 Product availability
In rare cases, a product may be unavailable after your order has been placed.
If this happens:
- We will inform you as soon as possible
- Any payment will be refunded without delay
This does not affect your statutory rights.
1.4 Language
All contracts are concluded in English.
2. Delivery
2.1 Delivery and risk
We deliver to the address provided at checkout.
If we arrange the delivery, the risk of loss or damage passes to you when the product is delivered to you.
If you arrange your own shipping or collection (for example under EXW terms), the risk passes to you when the goods are handed over to the carrier or made available for collection.
2.2 Prices, VAT and duties
All prices are shown including VAT, unless stated otherwise.
For orders within the EU:
- VAT is included in the price at checkout
For orders to the USA, UK, and Canada:
- All import duties, taxes, and fees are included in the price at checkout
- We ship using Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)
- The price you see at checkout is the final price
- This means you will not be charged anything extra upon delivery
If a delivery is refused or not collected, additional costs may be deducted from any refund (see section 3).
For other regions (including APAC and Africa)
- Local taxes, duties, and import fees may apply
- These are paid by the customer upon delivery
2.3 Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.
2.4 Delivery times
- In-stock products are normally shipped within 5 business days
- Pre-orders follow the estimated delivery time shown on the product page
You will receive a tracking number by email once your order has been shipped.
Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
2.5 Transport damage
Please check your package upon delivery.
If you notice visible damage:
- We recommend reporting it to the carrier at delivery
- Please contact us as soon as possible at support@baumguitars.com
This helps us resolve the issue quickly.
2.6 Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control.
This includes, for example:
- natural disasters
- strikes or supply chain disruptions
- pandemics
- government actions
If this happens, we will inform you as soon as possible.
3. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 45 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.
This extends the standard 14-day withdrawal right under EU law.
The withdrawal period expires 45 days after the day you (or a third party appointed by you) receive the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by contacting:
Baum Guitars ApS

3.1 Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from your purchase:
- For orders within the EU, we refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs
- For orders outside the EU (including USA, UK, and Canada), original shipping costs are non-refundable
Refunds are issued within 14 days after we receive the returned goods, or proof that the goods have been returned.
Refunds are made using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or proof of return, whichever comes first.
Any currency conversion fees or payment provider fees are non-refundable.
3.2 Returning the goods
You must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of withdrawal.
The deadline is met if you send the goods before the 14-day period expires.
- For instruments, we provide a return label
- For merch and accessories, return shipping is paid by the customer
Products must be returned as described in these terms, including using the original packaging.
3.3 Condition and deductions
You are responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to:
- inspect the product
- test its features and function
If the product shows signs of use beyond normal testing, cleaning, or repackaging, we may reduce the refund to reflect the diminished value.
If any included accessories, packaging, or items are missing, we may also deduct their value from the refund.
3.4 Gifts and promotional items
When placing a pre-order, you may receive a promotional item (such as a Baum T-shirt or complementary gear for your instrument) that may be shipped separately from the main product.
The promotional item is considered part of the overall order and has an individual retail value.
If you cancel or withdraw from your order:
- You must return the promotional item if it has already been delivered
- If the promotional item is not returned, its retail value will be deducted from your refund
If the promotional item has been delivered separately, it has its own 14-day right of withdrawal, starting from the day it is delivered.
To receive a full refund:
- The item must be returned unused, in its original condition, and with original packaging
If the item is returned used, damaged, or incomplete, we may reduce the refund to reflect the diminished value.
3.5 Exclusions from the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Products made to order or customised to your specifications
- Custom Shop instruments
- Deposits paid for made-to-order products
3.6 Refused deliveries and uncollected orders
If a delivery is refused, not accepted, or not collected by the customer:
-
We reserve the right to deduct return shipping costs, duties, taxes, and handling fees from the refund
This applies especially to international shipments where import costs have already been incurred.
This also applies if incorrect delivery information is provided by the customer.
