Description
The Leaper Stage is a dreadnought acoustic guitar made for stage and studio. It delivers a rich, balanced sound that fills the room — warm lows, clear highs, and loud sound.
A solid Sitka spruce top gives lively tone and great response. East Indian rosewood back and sides add deep bass and precise top-end. The forward-shifted X-bracing lets the top breathe for more resonance and volume. Play soft or loud, you'll feel the dynamics.
The mahogany neck has a smooth Modern C-profile that feels fast and comfortable. It’s built for long sessions, live gigs, and everyday playing. The ebony fretboard is sleek, durable, and easy under your fingers.
When it’s time to perform, plug in and play. The Fishman piezo pickup gives a natural, stage-ready sound with no fuss. Use the hidden volume and tone controls for quick, clean adjustments on stage. The acoustic-electric Leaper Stage is ready for any gig.
Designed in Denmark and built in small batches, the Leaper Stage blends craftsmanship, tone, and reliability. It’s the perfect acoustic-electric guitar for live shows, recording, or home sessions — always ready to perform.
45 Days Return Policy
Yes, we call it Try At Home. Every guitar comes with a 45-day home trial, so you can play it with your own rig and in your own space. If it’s not a fit, return is easy to arrange. Free from Europe or for a set fee from elsewhere and as long as it's in original condition and packaging,
Do all Baum instruments receive a premium setup before shipping?
Yes — every instrument is opened, carefully inspected, and meticulously set up in our Aarhus workshop by our team of luthiers and techs to ensure optimal action, intonation, and playability before it arrives on your doorstep
Every Baum goes through several quality control points. The final step happens in our Danish Custom Shop where each instrument is personally inspected and tested by our guitar tech team of professional musicians. We’re very picky and go over every detail and part.
Our process:
Delivery inspection: Each guitar is unpacked, examined, and approved for build quality and finish.
Hardware & electronics: Each instrument gets the Baum Premium Set-up. Read more about that.
Performance test: Finally, our set-up team play and fine-tune the guitar to ensure it meets Baum’s tone and feel standards.
Nothing leaves our hands until it matches our quality for how it plays, sounds, and looks.

THE BEST ACOUSTIC. PROBABLY.
Baum introduces the finest acoustic guitar. And a true workhorse for the touring musician.
Leaper Stage is classic dreadnought made of classy tonewoods like solid East Indian rosewood for the back and sides, American Sitka spruce for the top, Engelmann spruce for the scalloped bracing, and ebony for the fretboard and bridge.
It's styled with wonderful details, and has our comfortable Baum C-neck shape.
Leaper Stage ticks all the boxes for the modern player seeking an intense sound, easy playability, solid tonewood, and details to get lost in.
Designed in Denmark and handcrafted in small batches to ensure the highest quality for each guitar.
The Leaper Stage is rich, loud, and resonant. Make everywhere your stage.
FOR THE PICKY PLAYERS
The Leaper Stage comes in three gorgeous colors, so you can pick the right one for your song.
Available in Deep Honey Burst and Pure Black, Deep Burgundy.
Can’t decide? Don’t worry. No matter how you like the Leaper Stage on the outside, the inside is always identical.
A MUSICALLY RICH TONEWOOD.
Leaper Stage is crafted of solid East Indian rosewood on both the back and sides.
This gives the Leaper Stage a deep and articulate low-end, a blooming midrange, and a rich and crisp top-end.
Classic. Timeless. Solid.
WE THINK INSIDE THE BOX
The Leaper Stage is designed from the inside out, so you can do your greatest work.
Watch the presentation to learn more about how we designed the Leaper Stage to vibrate freely like a speaker, and which delicate materials we have used to give it a beautiful voice.
FORWARDED X-BRACING.
We like thinking forward. Forward shifting the X-bracing makes the Sitka spruce top vibrate more freely like a speaker, with greater responsiveness, and an extended dynamic range.
Leaper Stage simply is louder, fuller, and more responsive to your play.
JUST PLUG AND PLAY
Fishman included.
The Leaper Stage is ready for both studios and stages, as it comes with a Fishman piezo pickup installed.
The piezo is stealthily installed, delivers a crisp and true tone of your guitar, and its undersaddle placement makes it hum and feedback resistant.
Don’t worry about bringing this to the stage. It’s ready.

The Wingman features our modern C profile, which is the most popular neck profile for a reason. It’s comfortable to most players because it does it all, and it does it great.
Made of roasted maple with a 12″ ebony fretboard and a satin lacquer finish.
Frets are medium jumbo giving you a balance of width and height making the Wingman easier, smoother, and more fun to play all night.
WE PUT OUR SIGNATURE ON THIS.

Finally got my hands on the Wingman 10th you sent me and, oh boys ! It’s really worth the wait !
From the finish to the slightest details, from bridge to saddle it came perfectly tuned. The neck is as sweet as silk, and your mics do wonders !
Usually I would never buy a guitar before a try. Given your 45 days policy, I was thinking you were well aware of the quality you’re dealing with, so I gave it a try and..!
GUYS !
I was expecting quality, but this is clearly ways beyond my expectations ! Really ? For that price ?
It could have costed 1K more, it would still be a great deal !
So, if you were counting on me to send it back, then I have bad news for you ! I have a gig in two weeks and I m gonna proudly strum this beauty !
update : I did strum this beauty and it stole the show ! And guys, this is what the delight of playing it looks like !
What a majestic piece of gear!! I had the old conquer model and I loved it, sold to a friend that needed the guitar more than me, but I regretted instantly hahaha. Had to buy the newer version, and I still love this. Good job Baum
Great peace of guitar. Works excellant in pair with Peavey Classic 30. Versatile purpose for most kind of music. You want believe it, I use it to play Country music. It has great single coils, and a sound is just amazing. Thanks for this piece of art
Knew nothing about Baum until I saw a Carve in a video. Ended up falling in love with the Wingman and ordered. From day one the responsiveness of the staff was great, answering my questions and giving support. The ordering/shipping process was straightforward, I live in Ibiza so the shipping part in some cases is not super easy. Got the wingman a few days before the scheduled date. Wasn't sure what to expect but I loved the guitar immediately. The setup was optimal, first time I didn't need to put my hands on a new guitar or send it to a luthier. Looks and feels very solid and high quality. The neck is super smooth and i love the sound. No issues with the Bigsby getting the guitar out of tune. So yeah, super happy about it, to the point I ordered a Carve 10 days later.
Dear Team Baum,
Due to circumstances beyond your control I had to wait a bit longer for the arrival of the Wingman 10th Anniversary Edition but the moment I struck the first note I immediately knew that every second waiting for The Wingman was a second well spent. The guitar arrived perfectly adjusted at my house and felt like she had been played on for years. Great tone, comfortable balance, smooth neck and a gorgeous sexy design... she will be seen on stage with my band Isle of Men playing our latest album 'The Soul Of Kindness'. This is the start of a lifelong love affair... congrats, you are making fabulous guitars that can compete with the best brands or even beat them... humble regards Dirk Fryns
I considered Baum against typical American big brands and took a chance. The celestor absolutely lives up to Baum’s pitch. The quality and playability are top notch and I would definitely buy another one! Great guitar! Thanks Baum team.
I use the headphone for some weeks now.
I love the quality and the feel of the matirals used.
The comfort is great aswell while wearing.
Sound quality is great.
And what is very handy is the dual side jack input.
Every thing Baum makes is high quality.
Kind regards
Marcel Nijssen
I'm in love with this guitar. You can see the good quality control. The guitar feels high-end, it is very comfortable in the hand and its sound is spectacular. It also has a lot of personality in its aesthetics. In love with Baum!
The service from Baum was excellent. Not only where customer setvice very helpful in reminding me I hadn't completed my original order. They held the guitar for me until i was able to pay it off and honoured the discounted price after I realised that I was paying more with the finance and sorted it really quickly.
The guitar arrived perfectly set up and intonated. It sounds and plays amazingly. Glad they reminded me otherwise I would have missed out on the 10th anniversary. Quality if I say so is probably better than some custom shop Fenders! Brilliant stuff from Baum . I'll probably ending up buying something from their custom shop down the road .
Couldn't recommend this guitar enough
Ordering from Baum has been a fantastic experience, shipping was fast and secure - the bass arrived on time and with no damage. There was one small issue which I communicated to the team and they immediately stepped up and made it right with no questions. 5/5 stars. The Wingman bass plays like a dream and sounds, looks and feels phenomenal!!!
After a few days with this guitar I am smitten! I have been worrying that I had purchased a metal monster with really hot pickups but what I have is a classic mid century sounding guitar that looks, feels and sounds amazing.
The setup is perfect, I can't remember ever picking a new guitar up and feeling so at ease with it! Thanks Baum for the effort you put into these instruments I can tell it's full of music that I just need to release
The gigbag, which was included with the guitar, is a very high quality bag and I would take my beloved Backwing everywhere with it.
But I like the look and feel of hardcases more, so I ordered this one.
It's very durable and well build. It's quite heavy, but this makes it indestructible, very worthy.
Finally, my Backwing in mamba green arrived.
I waited 8 months for this beauty, but it was worth every minute.
It's my first Baum guitar and I'm pretty sure that it won't be my last!
The craftsmanship is outstanding, there's not a single tiny thing to complain.
The guitar feels, plays and sounds amazing. I really love the sound of the mini humbuckers.
I can't wait to bring it on stage...
Thanks Baum Guitars for my new number one!!
I’ve had my Baum Thunderbass since August 6, 2026. I’ve grown really fond of it. It’s easy to play, has a really lovely sound, and the lower weight compared to my other basses is noticeable when I’ve been playing for a long time!
I love my Baum bass in black. I chose it because you can really hear the wood and strings, to me many bass guitars have electronics- only distortion or added sound, and this is a clear ‘ window’ — into the gorgeous design, woods, and fabulous strings that sound with this Aarhus- designed instrument. Due to very serious both- hands injury I play Right and Left and am looking forward to the vintage white left- handed. I believe these guitars are made in Indonesia, and I also have a guitar from Epiphone named after my mother (SJ -200) made in Indonesia, which makes a happy- sounding instrument. Long may it be so! I also look forward to a future custom- shop made- in- Denmark bass. The design of the Nidhogg black and Wingman are my favorites! I don’t like that so many instruments are designed in imitation of EES Gibsons or Fenders. This is a gorgeous design and the sound is fantastic. I spend a lot of time in Denmark, am making the place vegan and cruelty- free. I am reading Danish ‘Minna’ right now aloud because due to poison sepsis misdiagnosis I have to carry 450 lbs of pulmonary fluid and it’s difficult to breathe — about a teacher who goes to Munich and Dresden Andersson's ‘Ugly Duckling’ was written about my sister, who died in 1993 without children. She had white- blonde hair as a child and I was considered the beauty. She would have laughed that some lab at Princeton Andover that recruited her to intelligence ( born without oxygen a little retarded) has made ‘lil soster’ 450 lbs, six inches shorter, with darker eyes they want to look ‘ ethnic’ and with un- combable black (African) frizzled hair!
The Baum sounds very precisely according to my taste, rare among electric basses, on program. I am proud of Denmark for the excellent sound.
I received my new Baum Nidhogg bass a couple of days earlier than expected and about a half hour before heading out the door for a gig. I unboxed it, tuned her up and she played as beautiful as she looked. I put her back in the gig bag, which I should say is the best gig bag that I have ever seen. Played the Nidhogg that night and fell in love with her. Felt and sounded so good.
It was set up great, very low action. I play a bit heavy-handed so had to raise the action a little bit to suit me but she is a wonderful bass. I've had 2 more shows since and I love it more each time i play it.
I had been looking at them and reading up on Baum for a couple years. When I saw 40%off and the discontinuation notice I put in my order. I'm really glad I finally did.
Thanks Baum, sincerely and enthusiastically, jeff
I waited a long time for this guitar. The guitar looks fantastic. It's a little bigger then expected but that's not a problem. It sounds really good. One thing that needed adjustment was the hight of the strings. They were much too high and the guitar felt uncomfortable, so I guess I should review your information on final tuning. I took it to luthier to lower the strings and tune it perfectly. After that the guitar feels really good and is much better to play. Overall it's great guitar.
After an annoying waiting time of 8 months, with prepayment, I still received my guitar in solid packaging. The guitar is very solidly processed, looks cool and also fits well in the hand. It plays easily and smoothly and sounds surprisingly good over my equipment. I can't say anything about the practicality in the band and stage operation.
I am very, very happy with my new backwing. Absolutely the best guitar i have ever owned. The neck is super smooth and comfortable. Great set up out of the box.
The mini humbuckers are artikulation and clear, and they handle high gain tones with ease. The finish looks awrsome in crimson red. Depending on the light it varies from dark deep red, to almost a pinkish red from some Angeles. Having always played 24.75" scales, it took me a couple of days to get used to the longer scale length, but now it feels right at home.
Customer support and service has been notjing but exceptionel.
Overall i can highly recommend this guitar. I am very happy with my first, but definitely not last Baum guitar.
hii I’m Lissy i’m so happy to have this guitar !! this guitar is just awsome !!! i love playing on it it‘s just a great feeling !!! 🖤also i‘m a huge Ashes of billy fan ❤️❤️❤️
Bought as a B Stock so got a GREAT price and when it turned up it was immaculate, not a brack on it. All the protective film was still on it so it was as new.
Sounds brilliant and have had great fun putting it through its paces with loads of amps and cabs on my Helix Rack. Ten times the quality of my previous bass (Traben Array Limited) for only 3 times the price.
Totally delighted with it!
Tony
Guitar (Wingman) plays great, set up all good nice subtle smooth bigsby action very much enjoying. Delivery arrival time communication great, well packaged.
In this picture you can see the bass guitar I bought earlier in action at the Z Moss Smith concert. The instrument is beautiful, I love playing it, so it's perfect!! Pictures of the other guitar will be taken soon. Thank you
Store owner replied:
Really happy to hear you’re enjoying the size, playability and sound.
But… only 4 stars? 😄 What did we do to lose that last star? We’d love to know! ;)
My Wingman is my current number one guitar that I reach for when I gig. The proprietary Goldsound P90s provide both a sparkling clarity and a satisfying growl. It’s comfortable around my neck and beneath my fretting hand. With the roller bridge, it stays in tune when I exercise the Bigsby B-50.
Hello dear Baum team,
the guitar is absolutely gorgeous. Incredible build quality and what a great sound in every pickup position. This is most likely the best guitar purchase I've made in the last 10 years. Beautiful look, insane sound and great playability. Thx guys for such a great instrument.
Best regards
Bert
Stunning design! The quality of the components! Literally every little detail comes together flawlessly, especially in this stunning Vintage White livery. Mine arrived perfectly set-up and is a joy to play. In my opinion, Baum absolutely nailed it with the Celestor. At this price, the Celestor definitely puts a lot of much higher priced competitors to shame! If you were to bring out a version with a maple fretboard in the future, I'm in!!!
Since its release, I really liked the Wingman. I finally gave in and ordered it.
The bass is gorgeous, the finish is flawless. The fretting is perfect.
The Wingman is very light and well balanced.
The tuners are precise and the bass holds tuning very well.
Sound-wise, it's a JB, the sound is neither too vintage nor too modern, it will be comfortable in quite a few styles.
I really can't wait to play it live. And above all, it's cool to have an unusual bass 🤘
The bass was in stock so received in a few days and perfectly set up.
Regarding Baum, great communication, customer service very responsive to questions.
Great experience with Baum
As a quarter-Danish (my grand mother was born in Frederikshavn Denmark) I had already come across this bass a few times. But now that I heard it would no longer be produced, I simply had to order it in this fantastic green color.
