Yes, we call it Try At Home. Every guitar comes with a 45-day home trial, so you can play it with your own rig and in your own space. If it’s not a fit, return is easy to arrange. Free from Europe or for a set fee from elsewhere and as long as it's in original condition and packaging,
Do all Baum instruments receive a premium setup before shipping?
Yes — every instrument is opened, carefully inspected, and meticulously set up in our Aarhus workshop by our team of luthiers and techs to ensure optimal action, intonation, and playability before it arrives on your doorstep

BAUM QUALITY CONTROL
Every Baum goes through several quality control points. The final step happens in our Danish Custom Shop where each instrument is personally inspected and tested by our guitar tech team of professional musicians. We’re very picky and go over every detail and part.
Our process:

Delivery inspection: Each guitar is unpacked, examined, and approved for build quality and finish.

Hardware & electronics: Each instrument gets the Baum Premium Set-up. Read more about that.

Performance test: Finally, our set-up team play and fine-tune the guitar to ensure it meets Baum’s tone and feel standards.
Nothing leaves our hands until it matches our quality for how it plays, sounds, and looks.

Every Baum is refined by hand in Denmark by our guitar tech setup team of professional musicians. Our guitar techs inspect, adjust, and play test each guitar to bring out the best of each as they know what it takes to be a performer.

Goldsound® pickups is our in-house engineered and custom-wound brand. Since 2016, we have designed the Baum sound to give our instruments a special tone.

TONEWOODS FOR TOURING.
Leaper Melody VEGA is crafted of a high-grade Mahogany veneer on both the back and sides.
This gives the Leaper Stage a balanced and articulate low-end, a focused and strong midrange, and a rich and crisp top-end.
High-grade veneer is perfect for touring musicians due to its durability. Unlike solid woods, veneer is more resistant to changes in temperature and humidity, which means fewer worries on the road or in dry/wet climates.

The Leaper Melody is ready for both studios and stages, as it comes with a Fishman piezo pickup installed.
The piezo is stealthily installed, delivers a crisp and true tone of your guitar, and its undersaddle placement makes it hum and feedback resistant.
Don’t worry about bringing this to the stage. It’s ready.

Leaper Melody VEGA features a classic scalloped X-bracing for refined resonance, warmth, and dynamic response.
The scalloped bracings allows the solid Sitka spruce top to breathe freely, delivering rich mids, improved bass depth, and greater sustain—making the 000 perfect for fingerstyle players and strummers.

The Leaper Melody VEGA features the Baum Teardrop™ headstock, tuned by our 3-per-side Acoustic Precicion Tuners 18:1 ratio open-gear tuners, a beautiful rosewood cap , and a matching trussrod cover.
