Built with a reason for every spec
Most electric guitars are built to a price point. Baum builds to a philosophy.
The mahogany body is 36mm thick, which is 9mm thinner than the industry standard. Not to reduce weight as a selling point, but because a thinner body transmits string vibration more efficiently. That translates to better sustain, faster response, and a finished instrument that lands between 3.1 and 3.5kg (6.8-7.7 lbs) without sacrificing resonance.
The roasted maple neck follows the same logic. Heat-treating the wood drives out moisture, creates micro-voids that improve resonance, and crystallizes the natural sugars into a denser, harder structure. The neck becomes dimensionally stable across temperature and humidity changes, which is why Baum guitars hold their tuning where others drift.
The hardware is developed in-house. Goldsound® pickups are matched to each model's body and neck combination rather than selected from a catalogue. The Levitator™ roller bridge replaces nut friction with rolling contact, keeping strings in tune through tremolo use. Precision tuners at 21:1 gear ratio allow accurate adjustment with minimal force on stage.
The electric guitar lineup
Nine models, each built around a specific body shape, pickup configuration and tonal character.
The Wingman is Baum's modern offset, available with single coil, P90 and humbucker variants depending on configuration. The Backwing is the vintage-leaning offset, defined by Goldbucker mini humbuckers and a more classic character. The Carve is a double-cut solid body built around P90 tone, raw, mid-forward and direct. The Celestor covers S-type territory with Baum's Sonar single coils and TrueTone tremolo system. The Conquer 59 is a semi-hollow offset with Bigsby vibrato, built for jangle, sparkle and warm mids. The Leaper Tone is the P90 semi-hollow, and the model the company started with. The Revolt is the classic-leaning double-cut solid body with P-90 attitude and rock 'n' roll character. The Savage is the third offset in the lineup, aggressive in shape and voicing, built for grunge, punk and rock at stage volume. The Verve is the single-cut T-style platform, voiced for drive and modern playing rather than vintage Tele cleans.
45 days to decide
Baum doesn't sell through retailers. Every guitar ships direct from Denmark, set up by hand, and comes with a 45-day return window, long enough to gig it, record with it and decide whether it fits before committing.
