We’ve created this page to make it easier for you to find the latest updates and ETA’s (Estimated Time of Arrival) on your upcoming Baum instrument.
As you read these updates, please remember that we’re a very small team in Denmark working very hard to share stages with the big brands out there. And we cannot do this without you.
We only build instruments in small batches. This means quality over quantity.
Delivery delays are unfortunately very normal in these strange times and has been a theme for 2025. We make a lot of hardware and pickups from various suppliers, making us more vulnerable to delays. But it is also worth it when the instrument comes together as a unique piece.

It's a long, but important update. We want to be transparent here, so please take the time to read it and understand that we do everything we can to make your new Baum worth waiting for.
It’s no secret that 2025 has been a challenging year for production and shipping. Not just for us, but worldwide for any global brand. The good news is that we’re working our way through it. All upcoming batches for 2025 are in production and will be completed and shipped to players.
We want to give you a clear overview of what’s happening behind the scenes, what we’re working on, and where each batch stands right now.
We believe that by being more transparent about our processes, then you understand all the hard work that goes into your instrument in each single step.
Building Baums — step by step
To start with, we’d like to dive into the process of making our instruments.

Each Baum is built in small batches, and every single part is made specifically for that batch. For that guitar or bass.
We don’t use standard factory parts. Every piece of hardware, pickups, pickguard, covers, gigbags, hardcases, and knob is custom-designed and produced for our instruments.
This process gives each Baum its distinctive tone and feel — but it also makes our supply chain more sensitive.
Here’s a look at what goes into each production run:
- Wood selection and preparation — We source our neck woods internationally — from the USA and Canada to India (rosewood). Bodies and necks are milled, dried, and prepared for precision cutting.
- Hardware production — Our hardware, tailpieces, and bridges are machined to our exact specs. These parts have been delayed the most this year due to material and casting slowdowns.
- Electronics and pickups — Our pickups are custom-made to match our Baum sound. From the inside to the outside, each is specially made for each batch we make.
- Finishing and lacquering — Every body and neck goes through a multi-stage finish process for colour, styles, and durability that lasts.
- Final assembly and QC — Instruments are assembled, adjusted, and tested at our manufacturer before being shipped to Denmark.

Baum QC & setup in Denmark — Once in Denmark, we go through a second round of detailed setup, fretwork and testing before your guitar is shipped to you.
We make everything in limited runs, and we ship batches together. That means we can’t send one-off guitars separately — all instruments in the batch need to move together for shipping and customs to make sense.
Our 2025 challenges
Global trade has been unpredictable in 2025. That's really no secret, if you With delays, quickly changing rules, higher costs, and slow transport across borders. We’ve talked about this before — and unfortunately, we’ve continued to feel the impact across all our ongoing production runs. But don't worry, we've completed and shipped several batches this year already - and we'll continue to do so the following months.
Despite these challenges, every preorder is confirmed and included in its batch.
Each instrument already has its materials allocated, and no orders are paused or cancelled.
- Our general production schedule for 2025 has been pushed throughout the year due to various reasons (see examples below). Our productions run like pearls on a string - as a sequence - and not at the same time. In others words, we wrap up the production at each step before another can start this step.
- International trade in general has been different (read: a mess) this year. Quickly changing rules, import costs, tariffs, shipping costs etc. has affected the whole manufacturing world (not just us).

Brass sourcing has been difficult. And we use brass for a lot of things. From baseplates to our pickups to our custom-made hardware. Rollers on the Levitator roller-bridge, posts for the Precision Tuners, blocks for the TrueTone Tremolo etc. Lead times are much longer than usual, and prices have increased.

Bigsby production is running slower, delaying models that depend on them. These are not just "off the shelf" but are made to our models in the numbers we need.

Wood shipments from North America have been delayed and more expensive, affecting our start times.
- Some batches in the spring needed extra time and extra work to be approved in the first run of Quality Control, which caused delays in the final steps. But again, quality is worth waiting for.
We’ve been covering all additional costs ourselves — from raw materials to freight — without passing them on to you.
The only thing we can’t absorb is time. But we're working our butts off to catch up wherever we can.
From here, each batch follows the same path:
Manufacturing → Final QC → Shipping to Denmark → Baum setup → Delivery to you.
BATCH UPDATES
How to read the update progress.
Our guitars are made in small batches, and to make the process from order to rocking more transparent, we divide this overview into four steps: 1) Production, 2) Shipping to Denmark, 3) Quality Control and 4) Shipping to Players.
To help you understand where we are in the process, we add % to the progress and highlight the text with different forms.

ANNIVERSARY MODELS | BATCH 01 + MOST OF 02 | Z10
Status: Shipping to players + Quality Control. We ship these as they're approved in our own quality control.
This batch also includes most of batch 02 orders from Celestor, Backwing, Carve, Thunder Bass and Nidhogg with an original shipping of August/September.
All Wingman orders are in Batch Z13.

Quality Control: 90% | Shipping to Players: 45%
LEAPER TONE + REVOLT | Batch R1
Status: Shipping to players + Quality Control. We ship these as they're approved in our own quality control.
Production: 100% | Shipping to Denmark: 100%
Quality Control: 46% | Shipping to Players: 27%
CELESTOR | Batch Z11
The Celestor batch is now in the final quality control stage at our manufacturer. We're arranging pickup so we can get these to Denmark now.
From here, they’ll be shipped to Denmark for Baum QC, setup, and final checks.
Once complete, we’ll first fulfil all preorders, then release new stock.
Estimated arrival in Denmark and shipping again: November 2025.

Quality Control: 0% | Shipping to Players: 0%
BACKWING, WINGMAN VEGA, WINGMAN ORIGINAL SERIES | Batch Z12
Currently in production. We’re done with woodwork in lacquering right now.
Our custom-made hardware is being machined, and the Bigsby units for this batch are in progress. Our pickups are done.
Once all hardware arrives, assembly and finishing will continue smoothly.

Quality Control: 0% | Shipping to Players: 0%
ANNIVERSARY BATCH 02 + NIDHOGG | Batch Z13
Also in progress. Don't worry. But with our capacity, we had to complete batch Z11 and Z12 first, but Z13 is lined up right after. And in progress now.
Some delays have come from raw material sourcing, and mostly because our entire production schedule has been pushed.
But production is now scheduled for final assembly and QC in late December 2025.
After that, they’ll move to Denmark for our final checks and setups before shipping to customers.
Estimated completion of production: End of December 2025. Shipping follows.

LEAPER MELODY + LEAPER MELODY | Batch M4
Production continues, but we’ve experienced sourcing delays on the Sitka spruce (USA) tops and Engelmann spruce (Canada) bracings.
Those materials are now confirmed and on their way to our manufacturer. Once received, production will move forward without pause.

What this means
All guitars are in progress — none are paused or cancelled.
We’re working closely with every supplier and manufacturing partner to make sure these runs are completed properly, not rushed.
Our Denmark workshop is fully active, and we continue to ship guitars weekly from existing and new runs. Every part of Baum — from our guitar techs to our shipping team — is focused on keeping things moving.
We know these delays test your patience, and we’re deeply thankful for your trust and understanding.
We’ll never rush an instrument to meet a deadline. Every Baum is built to last a lifetime, and that takes the time it deserves.
