We’ve created this page to make it easier for you to find the latest updates and ETA’s (Estimated Time of Arrival) on your upcoming Baum instrument.

As you read these updates, please remember that we’re a very small team in Denmark working very hard to share stages with the big brands out there. And we cannot do this without you. 

We only build instruments in small batches. This means quality over quantity. 

Delivery delays are unfortunately very normal in these strange times and has been a theme for 2025. We make a lot of hardware and pickups from various suppliers, making us more vulnerable to delays. But it is also worth it when the instrument comes together as a unique piece.

Due to the instability in the Middle East, arrangement of shipping has been extra troublesome. But we've found a solution now and moving on.

It's a long, but important update. We want to be transparent here, so please take the time to read it and understand that we do everything we can to make your new Baum worth waiting for.

It’s no secret that 2025 has been a challenging year for production and shipping. Not just for us, but worldwide for any global brand. The good news is that we’re working our way through it. We're now working on the last 2025 batch to be completed soon, so we can ship these to players.

2026 starts by catching up and completing the planned batches of last year while also starting the 2026 batches.

We want to give you a clear overview of what’s happening behind the scenes, what we’re working on, and where each batch stands right now.

We believe that by being more transparent about our processes, then you understand all the hard work that goes into your instrument in each single step.

Building Baums — step by step

To start with, we’d like to dive into the process of making our instruments.

Each Baum is built in small batches, and every single part is made specifically for that batch. For that guitar or bass.
 We don’t use standard factory parts. Every piece of hardware, pickups, pickguard, covers, gigbags, hardcases, and knob is custom-designed and produced for our instruments.

This process gives each Baum its distinctive tone and feel — but it also makes our supply chain more sensitive.

Here’s a look at what goes into each production run:

• Wood selection and preparation — We source our neck woods internationally — from the USA and Canada to India (rosewood). Bodies and necks are milled, dried, and prepared for precision cutting.
• Hardware production — Our hardware, tailpieces, and bridges are machined to our exact specs. These parts have been delayed the most this year due to material and casting slowdowns.
• Electronics and pickups — Our pickups are custom-made to match our Baum sound. From the inside to the outside, each is specially made for each batch we make.
• Finishing and lacquering — Every body and neck goes through a multi-stage finish process for colour, styles, and durability that lasts.
• Final assembly and QC — Instruments are assembled, adjusted, and tested at our manufacturer before being shipped to Denmark.
• Baum QC & setup in Denmark — Once in Denmark, we go through a second round of detailed setup, fretwork and testing before your guitar is shipped to you.
  
  

We make everything in limited runs, and we ship batches together. That means we can’t send one-off guitars separately — all instruments in the batch need to move together for shipping and customs to make sense.

What this means

All guitars are in progress — none are paused or cancelled.
We’re working closely with every supplier and manufacturing partner to make sure these runs are completed properly, not rushed.

Our Denmark workshop is fully active, and we continue to ship guitars weekly from existing and new runs. Every part of Baum — from our guitar techs to our shipping team — is focused on keeping things moving.

We know these delays test your patience, and we’re deeply thankful for your trust and understanding.
We’ll never rush an instrument to meet a deadline. Every Baum is built to last a lifetime, and that takes the time it deserves.
