To earn our place on stages around the world, we couldn't compromise with off-the-shelf parts. If we wanted a guitar that sounded and felt unmistakably like a Baum, we had to design every piece ourselves.
This month, the focus is on the metal and the magnets. While your guitar's wooden body and neck are resting and preparing for the next stage, we are crafting the hardware that will bring it to life.
Just like our guitars, our hardware is made on demand. When your preorder triggered this batch, it also triggered the production of your specific tuners, bridge, and pickups. We engineer everything in-house: From our Performer™ hardware to our Precision Tuners™, the TrueTone Tremolo™, and the Levitator™ roller-bridge. These aren't generic parts made to fit any guitar. They are specifically made to match a Baum.
The same goes for the voice of your instrument. Our own brand, Goldsound®, produces custom-designed pickups exclusively for our guitars. Crafting these requires precision and patience. From sourcing the right magnets and winding the coils to molding the custom covers, nothing is pulled from a generic bin. We build them to match the exact specifications of the batch we are currently making.
By doing it this way, we ensure that every single component is tailored to the instrument it will eventually live on. It's a zero-waste approach that requires more time and effort, but it guarantees that the guitar you receive is a cohesive, singular piece of design from the headstock to the strap pin.
