Monthly Update 6: Danish QC, Musician Setup, and Shipping
It's here. The batch has arrived in Aarhus, Denmark. This is the final stage before your guitar reaches your hands.
When the guitars arrive, we don't rush. We let them rest and acclimate in their boxes for a few days to adjust to the Danish climate. Then we begin our own meticulous visual inspection, checking every finish and polished piece of hardware.
The most important work happens on the workbench. Every Baum guitar is set up by musicians, for musicians. We string your guitar with D'Addario 10-46s, set a comfortable action, and dial in the perfect neck relief. We don't just set pickup heights with a ruler; we adjust them by ear until that specific guitar sounds exactly right. We check, crown, and polish every fret, and file the nut slots so the strings glide without friction.
Then we plug it in. We bend the strings, listen for buzz, and test every switch and knob. We are picky players ourselves, and we won't ship a guitar until it feels inspiring to play. We tick off every step on a QC inspection card, which travels with your guitar so you know exactly what was checked and who did it.
Finally, your guitar receives a last tune and polish. It's placed safely in its gigbag or case, packed into our custom Baum shipping box, and handed over to our couriers.
Your guitar is now fully tracked, fully insured, and on its way to you. After months of craftsmanship, patience, and precision, it's time to clear some space on your stand. Get ready to plug in and play.
