Seye Adelekan is not only a multi-instrumentalist, but a multifaceted artist. Currently playing the bass in the Gorillaz live band (since 2017)and touring with his own music as well.

Previously, Seye was a part of the musical collective Africa Express, and has toured with/recorded with musicians such as KT Tunstall, The Noisettes, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey, Emili Sandé, Birdy, Mumford and Sons, and Paloma Faith.

We proudly introduce the Anniversary Dark Moon Collection— a special release to celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2025.

The Thunder Bass is a special collaboration with Gorillaz' live bass player Seye Adelekan. The Thunder Bass is our first signature instrument.

This Dark Moon Collection consists of a limited edition instruments in a special bundle with a limited edition Baum Deluxe Hardcase.

THE DOCUMENTARY

10 years of crafting guitars. This documentary tells our story of going from a one-man luthier workshop to a small established guitar brand with players worldwide.

A STRIKING FEEL.

The Thunder Bass features our modern C profile, which is the most popular neck profile for a reason. It’s comfortable to most players because it does it all, and it does it great. 

Made of dark roasted maple with a 12″ rosewood fretboard and a satin lacquer finish. 

Frets are medium jumbo giving you a balance of width and height making the Thunder Bass easier, smoother, and more fun to play all night. 

PRECISE TUNING.

The Baum Precision Tuners™ for bass is a high-quality and lightweight tuner head with a 20:1 gear ratio that lets you accurately tune the Thunder Bass to perfection.

The lightweight design improves the overall balance and counters potential neck dives, and the better balance makes it easier to jump around on stage.

The tuners are solidly crafted to give the best resonance from the strings to the body.

ALWAYS IN CONTROL.

Design is also function, and the Thunder Bass brings the player a broad palette of tones by the fingertips. The knobs represent a Master Volume, Blend and Tone so the you can tweak, shape and adjust the tone to what is best for the song.
