Yes — every instrument is opened, carefully inspected, and meticulously set up in our Aarhus workshop by our team of luthiers and techs to ensure optimal action, intonation, and playability before it arrives on your doorstep
Every Baum goes through several quality control points. The final step happens in our Danish Custom Shop where each instrument is personally inspected and tested by our guitar tech team of professional musicians. We’re very picky and go over every detail and part.
Our process:
Delivery inspection: Each guitar is unpacked, examined, and approved for build quality and finish.

Nothing leaves our hands until it matches our quality for how it plays, sounds, and looks.

I’ve had a very pleasant experience taking full advantage of everything Baum has to offer. I was able to secure my purchase with the payment plan they offer. When it finally shipped it only took 3 days to get to me. It was fun watching it go through all the different countries on its way to me.
The guitar is absolute perfection. Everything about it feels perfectly designed. I haven’t been able to put the guitar down since I got it. The pickups are my favorite part. Every single pickup configuration has so much character and clarity. I’ve never had a guitar inspire me to want to pick it up and play as much as this Celestor.
One things for sure, I’ll be buying more from Baum. Thank you for creating such a rock solid product and business.
This is the best guitar I've played by far. Very comfortable. The setup is perfect right out of the box. The pickups sound fantastic, and the tone is extraordinary and so unique. You're doing a great job, guys.
I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical when I saw the offer for complementary headphones with my most recent purchase of the new 5-string bass. After all, i recently purchased Inner ear monitors; and have a pair of decent headphones for practicing at home.
My first use of them, I thought, “oh, they are nice.” But when I swapped out to the other headphones, played a song, then went back to Baum Ellipse, I was blown away!
The tone and clarity is absolutely amazing.
I practice with a Bluetooth amp that plugs into the bass and mixes the song recording. It is difficult at times to hear the bass in the song but with the new Ellipse Studio headphones, my practice is much easier.
Plus, because of the clarity, I can practice at a much lower volume and save my ears as I “jam for the lamb!”
I'm already enjoying the new bass, and I have to say, so far is quite an incredible feel and I can sense the quality of materials and level of detail that was taken when designing and crafting the instrument. Well done! And I can feel the set up that you did prior delivery. Just the action on the bridge tells the entire story. Again, well done! I will recommend Baum to my friends back home 🙂
I've had this guitar for three months now, so here are my thoughts.
Pros:
-The looks, of course.
-Perfectly leveled frets.
-Very comfortable to play.
-Good factory setup.
-The tuners are stable and hold tuning well.
-The finish is flawless.
Cons:
-The sound is decent, but I'd rate it 3.5/5. I know tone is completely subjective, but to my ears it lacks clarity and treble definition. It's rich in the mids and has enough low end for its size, but it never really stands out sonically.
-Price: At €1,458.20, it's expensive considering its sound quality. For comparison, my PRS Angelus, which cost €824.79, sounds noticeably better. I won't compare it to my Gibson Hummingbird, as it's in a completely different category—it's a dreadnought and costs twice as much.
-If you're expecting to plug it in right away, think again—it doesn't even include the required 9V battery. That's pretty crazy for a guitar at this price point.
Notes:
-I replaced the tuners with Graph Tech locking tuners for acoustics. This wasn't necessary—the original tuners worked perfectly—but I simply prefer locking tuners.
-If you're planning to install strap locks that are compatible with the output jack, I recommend the MusicNomad Acousti-Lok MN270.
-The neck looks darker in my photos because I applied Monty's Montypresso. It's an amazing product.
Conclusion:
This isn't the best-sounding guitar, but it is probably the most beautiful.
Would I buy it again? Probably not. I'd rather save another €935 and buy a Gibson J-45 Standard Vintage Sunburst instead.
Cheers!
This is the best guitar i have ever played. I like the fretboard, the bigsby by is amazing, tuning stability is on point.
I like everything about this guita
Thank you ❤️
So I've been playing guitar on and off for a long time and I wanted to add some variety to my music hobby and also improve my rhythm playing and i decided to purchase a bass guitar. I've never before owned or played bass and therefore have no previous experience to compare it to. The Nidhogg looks and feels fantastic and I absolutely don't regret the buy and I'm keeping it! After playing it for two weeks I already noticed a progress in my overall musicality. The only thing that could have been better is the delivery time. It took more than six months till I received it. Also the communication from the Baum team could have been clearer. So if you urgently need an instrument for a gig next week the Baum online store is probably not going to be helpful 😉
As a young guitarist. I have had many gigbags over the years. But I’ve never quite had something like this. This is the best one I’ve ever had. I’m thinking about buying the Savage because of Daniel Hermann from Ashes of Billy, anf this gigbag would fit perfectly (well with any guitar really) but that’s not the point. I barely open it and could already feel the quality. It wasen’t sloppy or thin like most other gig bags I had. This was perfectly stiff yet soft, with a neck rest inside. I tried it on my 3 guitars and each one for perfectly. This is the best purchase I ever made! And for only a little over 100 kr? It was Insane! I WILL be buying again! Definitely! Thank you, Baum. Huge love!
Yes, the manufacturing and shipping took a long time, but it was absolutely worth it.
Perfect setup, no issues with quality so far and it sounds killer.
The neck profile and finish feel great and make it fun to play.
The tuners stay in tune and the softcase is sturdy enough to keep the bass protected.
Another great selling point is the weight of the bass. I didn't measure it yet, but it feels really light compared to my other basses.
On top of that: everyone, really everyone loves the look of the bass.
I have one little issue regarding the process, though.
Communication during the process could be better/more frequent. Let's say an update every two weeks would be fair for both parties.
While the wait was way longer than I expected, about 7 months overtime, Baum actually made it the day before a studio session I really needed it for. It is a beast of a bass, both extremely growly and crunchy and super deep and huge sounding aswell. The most beautiful bass I've ever had the pleasure of owning.
After thorough inspection, I cannot fault this guitar.
The paint is stunning. Acoustically, the woods & brass resonate beautifully. The neck is smooth & easy to play. The Bigsby is stable & trustworthy. The weight sits comfortably on your shoulder. The case is sleek & robust.
However:
There wasn't any of the 'Case Candy' Baum spoke of, except for a magazine. I was sure I was going to get something else after waiting 12 months for this guitar to arrive.
A shirt maybe. Perhaps a spare strap. Even picks!
I bought the pictured strap myself...
The Wingman exceeded expectations. Excellent ergonomics - great fit, light. The neck is smooth and easy to play. The tone is amazing! My band mates are astounded and shopping Baum. The Vintage White is sexy and nostalgic. I cannot say enough good things about Baum guitars.
Bought my Revolt on a b-stock sale. First unit I received had some setup and tuning stability issues. Email assistance from the Baum team was quick and professional. I received the replacement unit shortly after my request for an exchange. The guitar had been carefully inspected and set-up with none of the problems that afflicted the first unit. I took my time with it nonetheless, since the 45 days try at home period was still valid, and I played it back to back against my other guitars for many hours a day. The neck has a very good feeling in my hand, It’s what I liked most from the start. I can go quite low with the string action even switching to 9-42. The body is not the most comfortable to hold while seated or standing, there’s a bit of neck dive, but I like the original shape and chambering. The sound is, to my ears, quite pleasing: there’s a good bit of bite and attack in all 3 positions, middle position has a nice clarity which is somewhat still present in both neck and bridge positions albeit with added bite and compression. I switch often from clean tones to ridiculous boost/fuzz/distortion pedal stacks and the pickups handle everything with elegance with a bit of volume pot adjustment. The Bigsby is what it is: a pain when you change strings and less effective than a standard trem, but still usable with some restraint. In summary I have found in the Revolt a very well crafted instrument, with the retro looks I like but modern in playability and characterful in tone. Thanks again to the Baum team for the prompt, professional and effective response to my doubts and issues.
Absolutely love this guitar ! and what can I say except WOW ! I can honestly say it is the nicest guitar I have ever played. The action, the feel, the tone, everything about this guitar I love, and a guitar that I loved the look of first time I came across it.I can say with hand on heart this is my main go to presently.
The Baúm 10th Anniversary Thunder Bass delivers the perfect blend of punch, clarity, and seismic low-end authority. It cuts through the mix with ease while pushing enough air to be felt deep in the audience's core. An exceptional instrument and a worthy companion to my beloved Nidhogg.
After a nearly 12 month wait, I was bursting to see my new Nidhogg bass and when it turned up, I was blown away! It plays beautifully out of the box and sounds amazing, suits my style perfectly, it is now my go to bass, surpassing my 1980 Rickenbacker (although not entirely!)
This bass was the star of the night. After our set, a bunch of musicians came up asking about it — everyone loved the tone. I even let another player use it for his set, and he came off stage grinning, saying how satisfied he was with the sound.
Hey gang,
Love the new Axe! I have played many different guitars throughout my career and the feel of this neck is second to none. The set up was good except for a buzz on the first and second string 1st fret. I figure I'll wait and see if the neck settles in after a while and report back. Also I haven't had it on stage yet so I'll update after a few gigs with it in action.
Thanks for all the hard work and attention in this beautiful guitar. It is truly art in my hands.

I took a chance on this bass after researching it for a few months. I was not disappointed. I use the bass in Jerry Presley’s Elvis Live Tribute Show in Branson, Missouri. It has replaced my Fender Ultra special edition PJ bass.
Baum makes an excellent product. It sounds great, looks great and plays great. It is also considerably lighter than my Fender. The neck is one of the smoothest and fastest I have ever played.
If you are on the fence, I encourage you to go ahead and purchase a Baum Nidhogg Bass. The ordering and shipping process went very smooth as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have been thinking about buying a Strat for a long time. Options that I had for my budget were Fender Player II or Vintera, or save some money and buy an American Strat later. I wanted a guitar that I could buy and keep for a lifetime. The guitar that will inspire me keep playing, sound and looking good, comfortable to play, being “mine” guitar.
I’ve heard about Baum before, but the price was above my budget. But then I saw this Celestor which was on the spring discount. So I ordered it.
The service was fantastic. The Baum team answered on my emails and helped me to get the guitar that I needed. The guitar was delivered just in three days from Denmark to Norway. It was well packed.
The setup on the guitar was great, so I just picked it up, connected to my equipment and started playing. I couldn’t stop. The time just flew. I spent 1,5 hour without noticing it. I had so much fun. The Celestor sounds amazing, so comfortable to play. The build quality is very high. It feels like you have I a custom shop guitar that costs at least two times more than the actual price of this guitar. Such an amazing instrument. The guitar that will be with on my musical journey.
Thank you, Baum!
Hello!
This is my first time buying a Baum guitar. In this case, an acoustic one: the Leaper Melody VEGA - Nordic Green.
The guitar arrived in perfect condition, excellently set up. Flawless. The design, color, and texture are absolutely beautiful.
The construction and craftsmanship are of the highest level. And, of course, the sound: balanced, a very warm tone (when fingerpicking, which is my style), and a beautiful timbre that immediately invites you to find its sweetest spot.
I am very happy with the buying process (great value for money), the service, and, of course, the instrument itself, which has absolutely nothing to envy compared to other top-tier guitars I own.
Hours of discipline and dedication ahead. And also... of fun, of course :)
As a fan of single-coil pickups (especially on the Jazz Basses), I'm amazed of the tone clarity and precision of these ones, allied with this incredible body shape, it makes the Niddhog my new favourite bass.
The Baum Leaper Stage – Deep Burgundy Red is an outstanding acoustic guitar that offers excellent quality for a very reasonable price. The attention to detail and precision of craftsmanship are impressive, and the beautiful Deep Burgundy Red finish gives it a premium look.
Its sound is rich, deep, and well-balanced, with plenty of warmth and clarity. The guitar is also very comfortable to hold and play, making long practice sessions enjoyable. The neck feels smooth, the tuning is stable, and the overall build quality exceeds expectations.
A fantastic instrument for anyone looking for great tone, comfort, and value for money ❤️
I got an excellent customer service from you guys - as far as I understand, it is still not in stock.
You gave me your show piece as it is a graduation present for my son.
He has actually played this specific guitar at the guitar show in Odense - and it was love at first sight (he is normally a Strat-player).
I haven't played it (I am not guitar-player) - he will get it end of June. Looking forward to do so!
The Wingman is an excellent bass guitar. It offers a dynamic range of tones. Playing the neck feels effortless. It's also lightweight and elegant. A true beauty.
I don’t know how to write this review, because there are so many things that ticked all of my boxes with this guitar. I really enjoy the playability, from the BIG sound to the feeling. The instrument itself is of course the main reason, but the brand deriving 10 km from my home in Aarhus, is something that has immense meaning for me and give more meaning to the instrument and the choice. I’ll just stop here. I love it so much I had to get a Celestor too. 🙏🏼
Everything you throw at these instruments, they do insanely well. This model in particular is no exception, stable tuning, mini-humbuckers and a premium setup right out of the box.
If you are ever on the fence on buying a b-stock model, fear not! They still do everything to make it the best they can, but with (very) minor blems.
Bought this to my "collection" just because I loved the design, and red some owners feedback. After it arrived, I find it very nice, specially when it comes to sound, playability and balance.
I'm into ambient jazz music, and it will be one of my top 5 guitars for this purpose. It also works very well together with a guitar-synth.
What a stunning pair, both wonderfully made and looking, easy to play and with plenty of sustain and character. Very happy with my choise for Baum Guitars.
One of the best acoustics I have ever played. Really has minimal competition in either looks, playing comfort or sound. Thank you for such an amazing instrument!
