Yes, we call it Try At Home. Every guitar comes with a 45-day home trial, so you can play it with your own rig and in your own space. If it’s not a fit, return is easy to arrange. Free from Europe or for a set fee from elsewhere and as long as it's in original condition and packaging,

Yes — every instrument is opened, carefully inspected, and meticulously set up in our Aarhus workshop by our team of luthiers and techs to ensure optimal action, intonation, and playability before it arrives on your doorstep

BAUM QUALITY CONTROL
Every Baum goes through several quality control points. The final step happens in our Danish Custom Shop where each instrument is personally inspected and tested by our guitar tech team of professional musicians. We’re very picky and go over every detail and part.
Our process:

Delivery inspection: Each guitar is unpacked, examined, and approved for build quality and finish.

Hardware & electronics: Each instrument gets the Baum Premium Set-up. Read more about that.

Performance test: Finally, our set-up team play and fine-tune the guitar to ensure it meets Baum’s tone and feel standards.
Nothing leaves our hands until it matches our quality for how it plays, sounds, and looks.
BAUM PREMIUM SET-UP
Every Baum is refined by hand in Denmark by our guitar tech setup team of professional musicians. Our guitar techs inspect, adjust, and play test each guitar to bring out the best of each as they know what it takes to be a performer.

Goldsound® pickups is our in-house engineered and custom-wound brand. Since 2016, we have designed the Baum sound to give our instruments a special tone.

The Goldsound® PowerJabs™ are specially made for the Baum basses.
The J-styled pickups have an Alnico V magnet at the core, wound with a solid output to confidently bring out every note you play, and the wider spacing between the pickups gives you a warmer and more versatile tone.

Design is also function, and the Nidhogg brings the player a broad palette of tones by the fingertips. The four knobs represent a Master Volume, Blend Knob, and individual Tone Knobs so the player can tweak, shape and adjust the tone to what is best for the song.
PRECISE TUNING.
The Baum Precision Tuners™ for bass is a high-quality and lightweight tuner head with a 20:1 gear ratio that lets you accurately tune the Nidhogg to perfection.
The lightweight design improves the overall balance and counters potential neck dives, and the better balance makes it easier to jump around on stage.
The tuners are solidly crafted to give the best resonance from the strings to the body.
